Habit: Showy Goldenrod produces 12Ó long wands of bright yellow flowers in late summer

of upright stems and seldom becomes aggressive.  Its tolerance for poor dry soils and late season bloom
make it a desirable component of any meadow planting. 
It combines well with other late season plants such as asters and grasses.
